A CAREER PATH FOR YOU:

APPRENTICESHIP

The Atlanta Electrical Contractors Association is a trade association comprised of some of the largest, most successful electrical contractors in North Georgia. These contractors work on professional athletic complexes, high-rise office buildings, industrial complexes, airport expansions and shopping malls.

For the last 10 years, the Atlanta construction industry has experienced unprecedented growth. As a result, we are continually searching for skilled electricians and voice, data, video (VDV) technicians. To ensure a steady supply of skilled workers, we sponsor the highest quality Apprenticeship Programs in the industry.

Earn While You Learn:

Once you choose a career path, you’ll apply to become either an electrical or VDV Apprentice. It takes five years to graduate from the electrical program and become a Journeyman Wireman or 3 years to become a VDV installer/ technician.

If you’re accepted into our Apprenticeship Program, you’ll be put to work at a competitive wage and sent to school tuition free. A typical workday will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. One day, every two weeks, you will attend class at our State of the Art Electrical Training Center in Norcross.  www.aejatc.org

Our first year Apprentices earn $11.65 per hour plus benefits (family health, life, disability & pension). While many employers in Atlanta can start you out at that rate, few can show you where you’ll be at the end of 5 years. If you stay with the Program, after 5 years you’ll be making over $60,000, plus benefits. Take a look at this "Career Path":
